Mission Esperanza
Project Overview
Mission Esperanza was developed through a collaborative partnership with the City of Oroville and the Oroville Rescue Mission to create a safe, supportive, and dignified environment for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The facility serves as both a navigation center and shelter, providing essential resources and transitional support services for those working toward stable housing.
The project included the construction of private pallet shelters, congregate living spaces, administrative facilities, community gathering areas, and supporting site infrastructure. The campus was thoughtfully designed to foster safety, privacy, and community while supporting the operational needs of the program.
In addition to housing accommodations, the facility incorporates secure outdoor spaces, pet-friendly accommodations, and support services that help residents navigate the path toward long-term stability and independence.
Challenge
The project required balancing ambitious program goals with strict budget constraints. Working closely with project stakeholders, our team helped develop practical design solutions that maximized functionality, durability, and long-term value while remaining within available funding.
